Tommy’s looking tired

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Anonymous comes out on top on CNN:

Not only does Tommy Davis fail at answering everything thrown at him, but he spins through his fucking teeth after being told that the FBI sees no merit to the cult’s claims of Anonymous being a hate group.

EDIT: Main news story prefacing the interview is now up on CNN’s site.

Comment on Village Voice article

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

The Village Voice had an article about the Fair Gaming of Anonymii earlier this week.  I just wanted to repost a comment on that article that was just brought to my attention:

Rabinowitz, Boudin, Standard, Krinsky & Lieberman just admitted that they have no factual basis to send these letters to the individuals addressed therein. They also admitted that they have sent out multiple letters of this nature. I hope they get paid enough so that they don’t care that they are going to be sanctioned.

It may be just my 15 years in law talking, but you the New York Bar simply will not allow attorneys operating in this state to send out spam mail alleging series crimes with no factual support, with the obvious intention to stop people from excessing [sic] their right to free speech. I note that counsel is on notice of the COS’s past conduct in terms of its felonious fabrication of threats against itself. Counsel, I’m about to help some friends and eat your lunch.

Excellent stuff.

Scientology’s footbullet noted in Philly

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

From the Philadelphia Weekly:

Hey, remember how the Philly Church of Scientology — let’s call it the farm system for Clearwater — scheduled a protest all day on the day of the latest Anonymous protest against Scientology so Anonymous couldn’t protest with masks on?

Well, a dude from Anonymous (I guess) contacted me the other day and passed along some hilarious photos of the “protest” that wasn’t really a protest at all.

Cult’s response to Nightline

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

Posted on ABCNews.com, the cult responds to Jenna’s story:

The Church of Scientology made it clear from its first contacts with “Nightline” that it would not publicly discuss the ecclesiastical circumstances surrounding the dismissal of Mrs. Hill from Church staff, regardless of the nature of her allegations.

The Church will not discuss matters surrounding Mrs. Hill, because given the thrust of her claims, she has used her name to make an otherwise ecclesiastical issue into a family matter and a personal attack on a family member. The Church will not relinquish its dignity to engage in such a debate. Moreover, due to Mr. Miscavige’s ecclesiastical position he cannot, will not and never has commented on family matters. It would be entirely inappropriate. Indeed, it is always inappropriate to discuss family in a public forum.

Every religion has its detractors; there is no faith that can satisfy everyone’s spiritual needs, Scientology included. We wish Mrs. Hill well in her search for spiritual fulfillment.

“Nightline” clearly had its show prepared before it ever contacted the Church. Nonetheless, the Church provided “Nightline” with a wealth of information regarding the allegations raised in this piece so that ABC could undertake journalistic due diligence. “Nightline” well knows the Church cannot respond directly to Mrs. Hill’s allegations without impugning her character, something the Church will not do.

The Church of Scientology repeatedly offered ABC unlimited access to its staff and facilities for a piece on the actual story of Scientology. Under the leadership of Mr. David Miscavige, the Church has seen unprecedented expansion across the globe, in its membership, in its facilities to serve its parishioners and the surrounding communities and, most importantly, in its humanitarian programs reaching out to make this a better world. “Nightline” was more interested in pursuing a story more fitting to tabloid journalism.

Always attack, never defend.

Full Beghe video restored on Youtube

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

Thanks to a flagging campaign by the cult, the only full-version copy of the Jason Beghe clip was removed due to “Terms of Use violation”. The owner of the account who uploaded it contacted Youtube, and here is their apology:

Thank you for your email. It appears that this content was removed by mistake due to a human error. We have reinstated the video and your account will not be penalized. We apologize for the inconvenience and are taking measures to ensure that this does not happen again.

Some of these measures include:

Bunker and Beghe’s Blitz

Friday, April 18th, 2008

By having Mark Bunker’s account yanked off of YouTube, the word “Xenu” has been printed in the Times.

…[T]he suspension has angered YouTube users who have thrown their weight behind Mark Bunker, who uses the name XenuTV1 on the site.

By this morning, 45 YouTube members had used their sign-ons to re-post Bunker’s interview with the Cane and CSI actor.

I was one of the probably hundreds to pass the news onto Radar (who doesn’t afraid of anything), and they also reported on the fiasco. They highlighted the hypocrisy of Google-owned YouTube for caving in to Scientology’s corporate interests:

Bunker’s video contained no violence (unlike the scads of girlfight videos on YouTube), and he counters that “There was no copyrighted material on my channel at all. It was all my own produced material.”

Roger Friedman from FoxNews.com also weighs in, wisely covering his ass from cult retribution, but still comes through to pass on the goods:

Bunker thinks YouTube took down the video under pressure from Scientology. It’s possible, of course, but unlikely. The video is still up on YouTube in other forms, including here (warning: contains offensive language). It’s also easily found just by typing Beghe’s name into most search engines.

Friedman also uses the issue to discuss Beghe more, something the cult would not want at all:

And, yes, Beghe did confirm with me what he’s talked about on the videos: All Scientology sessions are taped. Every one of them, including those of Cruise, Travolta and all celebrities. Does Beghe care if his tapes ever get out?

“Hell, no,” he told me. “They won’t do that anyway because then the whole thing comes out and everyone knows there are tapes. They can’t do anything with them.”

Beghe makes the mistake of assuming the cult is smart, reasonable, and that it changes with the times. LRH used case folders to blackmail opponents, and Beghe is an opponent. While releasing the “confidential” videos will indeed backfire big time, that’s not what matters to the cult: releasing them to embarass is what matters.

If you need any evidence they don’t care about how anything will backfire, I refer you to everything that happened on the cult front since January.

Bunker’s Ban

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

Wikinews and Glosslip report on Youtube being manipulated by alleged cult operatives. Both articles contain original content.

EDIT: Gawker comments on this and re-hosts the video.

Cult suppresses Beghe teaser

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

The cult abused Youtube’s automated banning script yet again. They did it with ToryMagoo44 the other day, and now they’ve done with with Mark Bunker’s xenutv1 in order to eliminate biggest video to make mainstream media rounds this week.

You know what to do.

Future RPFer?
